Telechron 8H57 / Lite-Call

The "Lite-Call" will awaken you silently by flashing your bed-side lamp. Simply plug your bedside lamp into the receptacle in the case back and set clock to time you want to be awakened. The lamp will flash automatically at the time selected. "Lite-Call" also has a conventional audible alarm signal which will sound within a short period after the flashing starts, if desired.
CASE—Ivory color plastic.

The MOVEMENT contains the standard, self-starting synchronous Telechron motor, with all the patented features that insure quiet, long life. Telechron Clocks are approved by the Underwriters' Laboratories under the re-examination service.

This clock has an outlet on the back so you can plug in your appliance, just as how the Switch Alarm, Organizer, Selector, and Videoclock had outlets on the back to control an appliance like a TV or radio.

You'd better hope that you turned the outlet to "On" instead of "Auto" when you plugged in anything more important than a lamp or else you'll have problems.

I used to think this was Telechon's answer to the Westclox Moonbeam clock but if you can believe what Bill says over on Clockhistory, Moonbeam came out a couple of years after. Early ones had a solid brass numeral ring and later ones are painted steel.
